Find out how much spending money you’ll need for two weeks on Bali with this breakdown of accommodation, sightseeing, food, drink and travel costs. I have provided the costs per person but things like accommodation and taxis are based on two people travelling together with the total price and the price per person listed. Some small costs such as souvenirs and snacks are missing and a couple of the section totals are estimates, but the final figure is the exact amount that we spent in two weeks on Bali.

Accommodation:

  • Ananda Resort Seminyak: Rp 565,000 / £30 for one night
  • Shanti Natural Panorama View Hotel, Sambangan: Rp 4,353,375 / £232 for three nights
  • Alamdini Resort Ubud: Rp 3,240,000 / £173 for three nights
  • Mertasari Bungalows, Nusa Penida: Rp 1,400,000 / £75 for four nights
  • BoHo Bingin Beach Bali, Uluwatu: Rp 4,950,000 / £264 for three nights

  • Driver for half a day in northern Bali: Rp 400,000 / £21.50
  • Driver from Sambangan to Ubud, stopping at Leke Leke and Nungnung Waterfall: Rp 700,000 / £37.60
  • Scooter hire in Sambangan: Rp 100,000 / £5.30 for one day
  • Scooter hire in Ubud: Rp 140,000 / £7.50 for two days
  • Scooter hire on Nusa Penida: Rp 210,000 / £11.2 for three days

  • Dinner in northern Bali: Rp 160,000 / £8.60 for one chicken satay, one nasi goreng and two beers
  • Dinner at Penida Colada on Nusa Penida: Rp 160,000 / £8.60 for two fish and chips and one large beer
  • Dinner on Nusa Penida: Rp 215,000 for two chicken dishes, two beers and one water
  • Lunch on Atuh Beach: Rp 145,000 / £7.80 for one chicken fried rice, one chicken nuggets, one French fries, one beer and one lemonade
  • Dinner at Casa Asia, Uluwatu: Rp 303,000 / £16.20 for two pizzas, two large beers, two small beers and one bottle of water

Average drink costs:

  • Hotel minibar beers: Rp 35,000 / £1.80
  • Beer in shops and restaurants: Rp 20,000-Rp 35,000 / £1-£1.90
